Callaghan O’Hare is a freelance visual journalist currently based in Houston, Texas. In 2022 she was named one of PDN's 30 new and emerging photographers to watch.
In 2018, she received the Cliff Edom's "New America Award" and was a finalist for the Community Awareness Award in Pictures of the Year International for her work on the lives of young black women in Flint.
Her clients include Reuters, The New York Times, HBO Max, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Getty Images, among others.
Before freelancing, Callaghan graduated from The University of North Carolina and interned with The Los Angeles Times, TIME LightBox, The Denver Post, The Flint Journal and The New Orleans Times-Picayune.
